Should we put a lock down on the site and make it only moderator accessible for a while? Will that cause the bots to stop spamming?

Howabout getting one of those boxes where you have to say what numbers are in the box, and each time the page is reloaded the box has a different picture in it of numbers and letters.

Or any other easier ideas that i wouldnt be able to think about could work
